Taxable payments annual report
Pay subcontractors? Your TPAR is due 28 August.
Many businesses don't know they need to lodge one until the ATO chases them. We'll check whether you do, pull the figures from your books and lodge it for a fixed fee.

Who needs to lodge
Does this apply to you?
You generally need to lodge a TPAR if your business provides any of these services and pays contractors to do that work:
- Building and construction
- Cleaning
- Courier or road freight
- Information technology (IT)
- Security, investigation or surveillance
The report lists each contractor's ABN, name, address and what you paid them for the financial year to 30 June. The ATO uses it to check contractors are declaring their income.
Not sure if you're covered? The ATO explains the rules, or ask us and we'll check for free.
Common questions
Good to know.
What happens if I lodge late or don't lodge?
The ATO can apply failure-to-lodge penalties, and it does chase missing reports. If you've missed one, get in touch and we'll help you catch up.
I'm a sole trader with one subcontractor. Do I still need one?
Possibly. It depends on the type of work, not the size of your business. A quick look at your payments will tell us.
Can you do it if you don't keep my books?
Yes. We'll check your contractor payments in your accounting software and lodge it from there. If your books need tidying first, we'll tell you upfront.
