Hi, I'm Hollie.
I'm an accountant specialising in payroll and management accounting. I started True North so tradies, sole traders and small business owners could have someone who explains things clearly, charges a fair fixed fee and actually picks up the phone.
My story
Why True North.
I studied a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) and Laws at the University of Technology Sydney, graduating with Distinction. I then gained Big 4 experience, which taught me what careful, well-documented work looks like.
Since then I've worked closely with small and medium businesses, including Accru Felsers and Global Advance Production Services. There I prepared and lodged BAS and IAS, reconciled accounts, lodged payroll tax and built payroll processes from scratch. Payroll and management accounting are where I'm most at home.
A compass's true north doesn't move. That's the idea behind the name: steady, honest advice you can set your direction by, whether you're just starting out or growing a business.
I work from home in Hornsby, Sydney, and with clients across Australia by video and phone. I'm flexible with hours, and if you're on the North Shore or Northern Beaches I'm happy to come to you.
